A busy August

After coming back from Macclesfield I'll have to get busy making more work for two events in August at the Edinburgh Festival.
The first of the two events, for the first two weeks, is the Patrick Geddes Inspired Craft and Design Fair. This is a new event put on by the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust, and participants will be chosen to reflect ecology and the environment, two of Geddes’ key philosophies. The Fair will be held at Riddle’s Court, an A-listed 16th Century courtyard house set behind the Royal Mile close to Edinburgh Castle.
The combination of Geddes' interest in and promotion of town planning and the urban environment and the layers of history in Riddle's Court make the event a natural fit for my work.

The second event is the renowned West End Craft and Design Fair, a Festival institution. Held in the churchyard of St. John's Church at the west end of Prince's St it is a popular and respected event with a wide range of artists and crafts people. It will be my first year there and I'm really pleased to have been selected, as competition can be fierce. I'll be there for the middle week (11th - 18th) of the three weeks it's open.
